DO YOU BELIEVE IN A CREATOR?

Or do you think that mankind is just the product of evolution over millions of years? Are we merely an advanced species of the ape family? Or were we created?

CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:

Why does the fossil record not support the theory that we evolved from ape-like ancestors?

There have been many false claims that the missing link between animals and Man has been found. But the fossil record does not provide any evidence that one organism evolved into another.

Why is there no evidence that human language has evolved from animal noises?

Studies have shown that the oldest known languages were actually far more complex than modern ones, not the other way round.

How could faculties such as the eye have evolved, as they are made up of five distinct parts?

Since each part of the eye is useless on its own, if evolution were true, it would have rejected them. Each part would never have been able to come together to form the complete eye.

How could the ability to reproduce evolve without the ability to reproduce?

There must have been a first cause, an outside intelligence who designed the intricacies of the human body.

IF EVOLUTION IS TRUE,

THEN LIFE IS MEANINGLESS AND HOPELESS!

NOW TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT THE BIBLE TELLS US:

1. WE WERE CREATED

'the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground… and man became a living being' (Genesis 2:7).

The human body is the most complex machine in the world. Do machines come into being by chance?

'I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are Your works and that my soul knows very well.' (Psalm 139:14)

2. WE WERE CREATED VERY SPECIAL

'God created man in His own image…male and female H created them' (Genesis 1:27).

Human beings differ enormously from the cleverest of apes. Language, self-awareness, abstract thought, moral character and religious inclinations set us apart from all the animals and birds.

3. WE WERE CREATED FOR A PURPOSE

'And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent' (John 17:3)

God made us so that we could enjoy a personal and eternal relationship with Him.

4. WE HAVE SPOILT THAT PURPOSE

'All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way' (Isaiah 53:6)

We have all rebelled against God and His laws. Our wrongdoing has separated us from Him. Suffering, sorrow and death are the results.

5. GOD HAS PROVIDED AN AMAZING REMEDY

God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth to die in the place of those who have rebelled against Him.

'For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God' (1 Peter 3:18)

Now we can be forgiven and reconciled to God if we turn from our rebellious ways and put our faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour

'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life' (John 3:16)
